Cemetery data has been provided through surveys sponsored by the Amelia Island Genealogical Society. As you can see in the table below, we have surveys from 57 cemeteries online and are working to provide the survey information for a total of 61 cemeteries in Nassau County and on Amelia Island. Some of these cemeteries are very old and have Revolutionary War soldiers buried there. Some sections of these cemeteries are still in use and growing.
Click on the "Area Map" link to see a general map of all of the Nassau County cemeteries, including eight cemeteries located on Amelia Island. More detail is shown in the four sectional maps provided.
You can search the cemetery records using the "Search by Name" link for last name, or maiden name where the data is available. Your can search by using the "Search by Year" link for either death year or birth year. You can also browse through an entire cemetery with the "Browse Cemeteries" link.
Click on any of the cemetery names in the table below that are underlined to go to the description page for the individual cemetery. There you find a brief history of the cemetery and a link to view the grave layout.
*'Currently Online' means that the cemetery will be included in a search.
